ULI North Texas February Breakfast Forum: Amazon's Loss, Will DFW Gain?
On-site registration is available. Please have your credit card on hand, as we cannot accept cash or check.
On September 7th, 2017, Amazon announced it was undertaking a search for a second headquarters location, creating the hottest real estate competition in recent memory: Who would get HQ2?
DFW quickly became one of the 20 candidates on Amazon’s shortlist. Using lessons learned from the 2001 race for Boeing, public and private leaders pushed to create a pitch that would convince Amazon’s leadership to choose North Texas. But in November of 2018, Amazon announced it would split its expansion between two East Coast cities: New York City and Arlington, Virginia.
Join ULI North Texas as we learn what really went on behind the scenes…
where DFW came up short, and what we can apply as a real estate community for future relocation opportunities of this scale.
