UrbanPlan is a realistic, engaging exercise in which participants—high school students, university students, or public officials—learn about the fundamental forces that affect real estate development in our communities. ULI Volunteers, trained via this one-day course, go on to serve as Facilitators, City Council and Mentors who help cultivate the next generation of industry leaders.

    THE PROGRAM

UrbanPlan is a realistic, engaging exercise in which participants—high school students, university students, or public officials—learn about the fundamental forces that affect real estate development in our communities.

Participants experience the challenging issues, private and public sector roles, complex trade-offs, and fundamental economics in play when proposing realistic land use solutions to vexing growth challenges.

Volunteers accepted into the program attend a one-day, hands-on training session. Trained volunteers can then serve in the classroom as Facilitators or as members of a mock City Council in a single class for 90 minutes per semester, or in multiple classes as desired.

ULI North Texas is making history in its UrbanPlan growth and we encourage YOU to join the over 130 trained ULINT volunteers!

On Friday, January 10, 2020, ULINT will hold its UrbanPlan Spring New Volunteer Training from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Registration is free, however individuals, both ULI members and non-members, must meet criteria mentioned below.
